Friday Gear Report: The Gerber Gator Machete

afrankelSurvival, Survival Gear

Never at a loss for creativity and originality, Gerber has introduced the Gator Machete. A bush whacking utility that reminds me of another survival tool, but I can’t quit put my finger on it which one. Help me out–it’s on the tip of my tongue…

As seen on The Walking Dead, the Gerber Gator Machete Pro packs an Axe and a Machete into one $35 piece of gear. The Gator Pro featured a lanyard, mold and mildew resistant nylon sheath, “gator grip” (not to be confused with Funk Fu Grip), and a blade length of 10.5?. In addition, the Gator Pro sports High Carbon steel blade construction.

The Gerber Gator Machete Pro is sure to get the job done whether battling brush in the backyard, Jungles of some South American land, Boreal Forests of the North, or the Zombie Horde.

Of course you can always go in whole hog and get the whole Gerber Apocalypse Kit too (although I’ve never actually seen that in stock). Just don’t let your mom catch you playing with it. She’ll totally take it away from you–Zombie Apocalypse or not…
