Is the United States at risk of fracturing into smaller nations? It sounds crazy, but with recent concerns of economic failure and civil unrest, the possibility seems a hair more real than in recent memory.

Several months back I stumbled across Igor Panarin. He’s a professor and former KGB analyst with a theory about the future of the United States. I’m not saying I agree with it. But then again, I’m not saying it’s impossible either.
