If radiation has you worried, there’s an App for that. Actually, there is a dongle too. Scosche recently released their RDTX Portable Radiation Detector and App. Compatible with the iPhone and iPod (no mention of iPad), Scosche states the devise is easy to use and gives detailed radiation measurements that can be shared.

Unfortunately, RDTX is currently not available in the US.

From Scosche:

The RDTX empowers you to detect radiation levels with your iPod or iPhone so that you can take control of your well-being. Solid-state design ensures consistently accurate gamma radiation detection. It requires no calibration and is conveniently lightweight and compact in size.

RDTX attaches to an iPhone or iPod touch via the dock connection and the radTEST app allows users to share their results with Facebook, Twitter and Google Maps.

The easy-to-use Meter Display indicates radiation levels as being safe, elevated or dangerous. For advanced users, the Digital Display shows detailed radiation measurements. Share your results with your friends around the globe and take control of protecting your world.
